PRGE contest #2 part 2
It started out with “I Can’t Drive 55″ by Sammy Hager which lead to “Everyday is a Winding Road” by Sheryl Crow. From there, my pal Kelly picked “Drive my Car” by The Beatles. This time I actually had a song pop right into my head and it didn’t take 9 days for that to happen. So here is my last pick which is from the soundtrack “Cars” from Pixar Studios – “Route 66″.
PRGE Contest 2
Do you know how long it takes me to think of a song that starts with the letter “E”? About 9 days. It’s kinda hard to think when the boys run around screaming. Plus the fact that I can never remember the names of songs anyway. But I am suppose to think of some song for the second PRGE contest. My fab spoiler pal Kelly of Bella Bambina came up with the song “I Can’t drive 55″ by Sammy Hagar. Then inspiration struck, so here is what I finally came up with – “Everday is A Winding Road ” by Sheryl Crow.
And I finally picked a song for my multi-talented spoilee Lindsay of Storm Moon Knits. It’s “Elevation” by U2 and I even found a Tomb Raider mix which is great since I am a huge Tomb Raider fan.
Monkeys in Oregon
Look at what arrived for me yesterday in the mail! This great package arrived all the way from Anne in Michigan. First in line is a gorgeous pair of Monkey socks that fit perfectly. There were so many goodies that I had to split them up into the two pictures. The boys loved the airplanes and the stuffed monkey. I loved all of the yarn. There is the two that are shown in the bottom picture and there is a skein inside the Red Cross tin. I have actually always wanted one of those tins. And then there is the yummy chocolate and lemon drops. The Chief an I are gonna give the coffee a try tomorrow. So huge thanks go to Anne!!!
Wonky Oregon Weather
This morning it was snowing. Yes, you read that right. It was snowing. Now it is actually quite nice outside but it is still very cold and all the snow has melted. At least I had brought the herb plants inside from the front porch.
Also, I managed to get some knitting done. I had started this on thursday not long before the Tigard Knitting Guild meeting and finished it late last night while watching The Omen Part IV.

I am a Loopy Groupie!!!
Today I became a Loopy Groupie. It was a grand day. I am really looking forward to the drop spindle class so that I can actually spin up all the roving that I have been buying. I just couldn’t resist the colors of this one. It is from The Dyeing Arts and its the “Goth Chick” colorway – very soft 100% superwash merino. My gift yarn is the yarn to the right of the roving. It’s Fannie’s Fingering Weight yarn in the “Fall Colors” colorway. And just this past saturday I was looking at the same yarn at All About Yarn in Tigard.
Saturday Sky and more
There was perfect weather to take the scenic route to the crochet meeting down in Tigard. It was the first anniversary of the group and we actually had three new members sign up. There was candies and Starbucks bottled frappauinos and there was a raffle held for prizes. Great fun was had by all. Plus each lady got a nifty notepad with the group’s name embroidered on it. I already have plans for the 2 balls of Crystal Palace yarn.
Friday Fill-Ins

1. I love springtime in Oregon since I have daffodils blooming!
2. Yogurt and granola are foods I love to eat for breakfast.
3. It seems I’m always searching for my sunglasses.
4. Some peace and quiet to get some knitting done is a great way to end the day.
5. I think I really need a haircut!
6. A Panera bagel with cream cheese is what I’ve been craving lately.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to the end of a very long week, tomorrow my plans include getting a hair cut, attending a crochet meeting in Tigard, and watching the Nascar race and Sunday, I want to get some project bags made and maybe get some crochet done!
