Friday Fill-Ins #76

1. Going to Paris, France is high up on my bucket list.
2. My favorite quote is “My darling girl, when are you going to realize that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage!” ; it’s from Practical Magic.
3. I can’t remember what inspired me to start blogging.
4. Strawberries are best fresh from the plant and maybe dipped in chocolate.
5. San Francisco was being destroyed in a flood in the last dream I remember having.  I have always had weird dreams like that.
6. The most enjoyable time to go for a walk is whenever I can get around to it.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I’m looking forward to the peace and quiet when the boys have fallen asleep, tomorrow my plans include going to the Streets of Tanasborne for World Wide Knit in Public day and hopefully finish the socks for The Chief and Sunday, I want to spend time with the boys and The Chief!

ISE6 package arrives

I am sorry to say that I have been a bad spoilee. This lovely package arrived all the way from China and I had totally forgotten to post about it. I can’t even remember when it arrived but it was either last week or the week before. More likely last week. But I do love the entire package. And now I can’t even find the paper with the lady’s blog address on it. I did find her blog and I remember 2 very cute lil girls. Wait, I just found her blog - http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/karenkevivianke-mommy/. Thankfully, I had it saved. So thank you dear pal. The scarf is lovely and I shall wear it proudly.

Spring Fling Goodies

My package from my spoiler pal had finally arrived. It was well worth the wait. The package came all the way from Indiana and was put together by Jan of Just One More Row Please.  The coffee came just in time as we are starting to run a tad low on the ground stuff.  And the treats are all very yummy looking.

There were goodies for all.  Even for both the boys.  They both got a Rock, Paper, Scissors candy stick.  I am gonna love the gummy clown fish.  I will have to take a trip to the World Market here in the Portland area to see if they have any.

Then there was the knitty goodness.  The sock yarn is from White Oak Studio and is in the “Four Weddings and a Funeral” colorway.  Maybe another pair of Monkeys for me with this yarn.  I really love the chicken tape measure.  Then there was the hand knit dishcloth and towel.  So yes, this package was well worth the wait.

Saturday Sky and more

It was pretty cloudy here in Hillsboro today. Since we had done the grocery shopping last night, there was really not much left to do. The Chief had gotten up early this morning to do some weeding of the flower beds in the front of the house and I took my nephew Michael’s present to the post office to be mailed to him in Colorado. I did manage to get some knitting done today. I have about 25 percent of the Chevron scarf to go before it is complete.  After it is complete, it will get a light steaming to flatten it out.
